The spider, one day, awoke too soon
Looked around himself, to find him all alone
And, perhaps, resigning to the state of his fate
Closes his many eyes, one by one
Till for a moment, they all remain shut
And he sees in this darkness
Worlds of webs intricate and magical
Like none he ever made, like none he ever saw
And twists his fangs, into what may be a smile
Thus did he open his eyes, all at once
And 'lo!
Afore him did he see
A see of mosquitoes, invading his privacy
With sadistic smiles, and echoes of mocking cries
As they did then, in their own cruel method
Fall upon him, and sucked the damned venomous juices from his fangs
And spat into his nether crevice of silk
And sucked from his body, their yet-undigested brothers
Thus did end, the Story of the Spider
As said by impromptu I
